Corn grits and dishes from it are not as popular in our country as other cereal dishes. But, this is very much in vain! Corn porridge is delicious. Groats are not completely boiled down like we are used to seeing slimy porridge for breakfast. There are noticeable soft, but whole grains in it.

Corn grits came to us from Western countries. She is considered to be a native of Italy, where cereals and side dishes are made from her, and corn cakes are prepared. These Italian dishes are low in calories and at the same time filling - fill with energy for the whole day. Corn grits can be used for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Sweet porridge with berries or pieces of fruit, porridge with vegetables or porridge with meat. There is one cereal, but there are many recipes. As a liquid base for corn porridge in the oven, you can take: water, milk, cream, or concentrated meat (or chicken) broth.
