subtle differences between the way nature is presented in both games. The main focus of the video is on the Imperial City in Cyrodiil – the province in which the game takes place.

“You will notice new colorful weather animations, new trees, new flora, new clothes, new hand-made weapons, new behavior of non-player characters, reworked textures and models, hand-made creatures that use new animations made specifically for our mod” - the development team wrote in the description of the video.
It makes sense that the south of Skyrim is warmer than in Skyrim itself, but the temperate climate of this territory is still designed in such a way that there is almost no snow in the province of Cyrodiil. The developers can be praised for their work with colors - green and red, yellow and purple. Vegetation allows a lot of light to pass through so that the sun feels more like the soothing warm glow of an incandescent bulb rather than the distant glow of a fluorescent bulb.

“Obviously, when recreating Cyrodiil, it is necessary to look closely at original game and supplement visual effects with the help of knowledge about certain regions and biomes in the province,” wrote to the Kotaku website Kyle Rebel– the lead developer of the project in his email.
“In Cyrodiil, the main rule that we use in practice is to make sure that when you are in a province you receive strong feeling fantasy, where the grass is green, the trees and bushes are lush, the flowers never stop blooming all year round, and the temperature always stays around the ideal 22 degrees Celsius"
The surrounding world is green, as if on the outskirts of paradise, the beauty of this world is different (but not necessarily better) from the gray mountains and harsh snowy plains in Skyrim. One of the problems facing Skyblivion(of which there are many, including working with an all-volunteer staff), this is a recreation – the province in which the game takes place using Skyrim engine, but without the former dissolving into the latter and becoming secondary in relation to it.

Working on this balance factor requires, among other things, keen attention to shrubs and trees.

“Let’s take the Heartland, for example, the area surrounding the Imperial City Island.” says Rebel.
“This area is very green and densely covered with lush bushes, unlike the locations in Skyrim. Thus, instead of the pine trees that abound in the province of Skyrim, this area is filled with large flowering oak trees and smaller trees that have a large number of living and healthy leaves. When you look down at your feet, you see light green grass and small flowers peeking through the thickets here and there. In this zone the shrubs are dense and quite often covered in pink, purple, white and red flowers.”

Rebel believes that – the province in which the game takes place The most iconic type of vegetation is the redwood forests, but it also highlights the maples that surround the island on which the Imperial City stands.

Of course, all those leaves on a red oak tree or flowers growing on a rose bush are worthless without good and proper lighting.

“The clear sunrise behind the Imperial City that we showed in the updated trailer has to be my favorite moment,” said Rebel.
“Seeing the sky go from black to pink with the slow sunrise is a miracle you just want to watch. It also makes me wonder why Bethesda didn't put more time and effort into the weather effects in Skyrim. There are still so many things in the game that we can work on to get the lighting right."
In this regard, he notes the modder Strayd, "god of lighting and weather", from the project team.

While the latest trailer looks promising, Skyblivion still far from release. A stream is planned for the near future, where the progress of work on the mod will be discussed in detail. The money raised from this stream will go to charity. While on paper this finished product should simply be a world where two games coexist, Rebel wants to capture the unique feel of each type environment and show their differences.

“Personally, I take as an example level design in Skyrim and paintings from real life. We've all seen those amazing images of landscapes from around the world that make you think "these places can't be real, they look like they're straight out of a movie." While working on the project, we want players to have exactly these thoughts when they look at the world in Game. We're trying to achieve stunning beauty that will take the form of pixels on your screen,” says Kyle Rebel, lead developer on the project.

Skyrim Flora Overhaul is a project dedicated to major renovation Skyrim landscape with more diverse and beautiful flora.

This mod requires iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure = 7 in your skyrim.ini (put it below), make sure you write it exactly the same (use copy/paste), and yes, it should be written "texure". SKyrim.ini is located in my documents/games folder/skyrim. You can use the launch button and put skyrim.ini in the search field to quickly find it, you can open the file using notepad to edit it.

All mods available on the site contain the latest versions.

Skyrim Flora Overhaul: Versions

*BASIC – This is a very outdated version, a stripped down version of the mod. It is also slightly compatible with other mods. It does not come with new tree varieties and does not have hand-placed fields, lupins, large ferns or reeds.

REGULAR – Outdated version with a lot of trees (yes more than in version 2.0+). In green forests, you will now not only encounter regular pine trees, but also huge dead trees, crystal pines (very rare) and aspens (also rare). In the tundra you will see several very large pine trees bent by the wind. In snowy parts you will sometimes see snowy pine. This version also features reeds next to water, tame fields of lupine, and fields of large ferns. This mod comes with 2 .esp, make sure you activate both of them!

SUMMER – Just like the name, this version is inspired by summer. Autumn forests now green with lush green grass, the tundra is also green. This is probably the least compatible version as it also changes the LOD landscape to green and the map is updated with green parts.

VERSION 2 – In this latest version mod I recreated all the trees from scratch, so you not only get new textures, but also new 3D meshes. There are also more trees in this version, so the forests are much denser (most people assume I added a lot of trees in 2.0). I removed unnecessary trees from 2.0+, so for example very large trees in the tundra were removed. Please note that this version requires a very good computer!
