Recipe 2: Christmas salad with meat and mushrooms

Christmas is a family holiday; it is on this day that the whole family can gather together at one large table with a wide variety of dishes. And every time every housewife wants to surprise her family and friends with something original and special. This is exactly what this “Advent Wreath” salad is, it embodies all the symbolism of Christmas, because in its appearance it resembles a Christmas wreath. It’s very easy to prepare, try to do it with us and, believe me, your loved ones will definitely appreciate it.

  • veal or beef – 300 grams;
  • onions – 2 pcs.;
  • carrots – 1 pc.;
  • salad red onion – 1-2 pcs.;
  • potatoes 4 pcs. (cf. size);
  • pickled mushrooms – 1 jar;
  • hard cheese – 300 grams;
  • mayonnaise for dressing.

So, when preparing the “Christmas Wreath” salad with meat and mushrooms, you should start by rinsing the veal well; this is best done under running water. Place the meat in a small saucepan, place on low heat, and cook until fully cooked. After this, be sure to remove the veal from the water and let it cool completely.

Also, before you start arranging the salad, you should boil the potatoes; this must be done in their skins. Do this also in advance, because the potatoes must be peeled and allowed to cool completely before doing so.

If you want to give your salad with pickled mushrooms the look of a real Christmas wreath, then you should use a special container, for example, you can use a baking dish with removable sides. It is extremely important that there is space in the middle of this dish. You can also take an ordinary dish and place a cup or glass in the middle.

Now we begin to form the salad itself with meat, the first layer should be veal. It needs to be cut into fairly small squares, but you don’t need to crush it too much. After this, place in an even layer on a plate.

Lubricate generously with mayonnaise.

Now carrots and onions will be used, they need to be peeled and chopped finely enough, fry them until golden brown along with the peeled carrots. For beauty, carrots should be grated, as for preparing Korean carrots. Fry them together in vegetable oil until fully cooked, give time for the onions and carrots to cool. After this, lay out the next layer of onions and carrots, brush with a small amount of mayonnaise.

The potatoes that you previously boiled and cooled now need to be peeled and grated on a coarse grater. Place the potatoes on the next layer of salad with beef and generously coat with mayonnaise.

Take the pickled mushrooms, drain all excess liquid and chop them finely. Peel the salad onion and chop it very finely, mix it with the pickled mushrooms. We recommend choosing this particular type of onion so that the salad does not become bitter.

Mix mushrooms and onions, place on top of potatoes, spread a little mayonnaise on top.

Now it’s time for the last layer of our salad with mushrooms and meat, this is hard cheese; any hard cheese that you like best is suitable for this salad. It is best to grate the cheese on a fine grater and place it in an even layer on the salad; spread this layer with mayonnaise.

Now we need to somehow decorate our salad to give it the appearance of a real Christmas wreath. There should be greens on top of the cheese and mayonnaise, we used dill, but you can use any greens that you like best. Decorate the “Advent Wreath” salad with stripes, which can be made using pomegranate seeds, so you will make the salad elegant. Place a little cheese in the middle and place a candle, make it from processed cheese rolled up into a roll and a piece of carrot. That's it, our salad is ready to surprise your loved ones.

Recipe 3: Delicious Christmas Potato Salad

The abundance of dill in the salad does not spoil it at all, but only complements it. In general, the taste is excellent and this salad will certainly decorate your Christmas table.

We set the meat, jacket potatoes, carrots and eggs to boil. Peel the boiled potatoes, cut them into small cubes and place them in a flat salad bowl or plate, forming a circle.

Apply a dense mesh of mayonnaise.

Cut the boiled meat into small pieces or tear it into fibers and place it on top of the potatoes, maintaining the shape of a circle.

We also generously coat the meat with mayonnaise.

Cut the fresh cucumber into small pieces and place in the next layer.

Coat a layer of cucumbers with mayonnaise and sprinkle with grated egg white.

Grate the cheese and egg yolks on a fine grater, mix with the addition of a clove of garlic passed through a press. From the resulting mass we form candles. We cut off the ends of the chili peppers and insert them into the candles, they will imitate a flame. Then place the candles on top of the egg white layer.

Now we make a ribbon around the wreath from boiled carrots.

We frame the edges of the ribbons of boiled carrots with green peas. The Christmas Wreath salad is ready. Let the salad stand for a couple of hours so that it is better soaked and serve.

Recipe 4: Christmas salad with chicken and nuts

Chicken meat is a tasty, nutritious, and at the same time low-calorie product that is easily digestible by the human body. The dish that I want to invite you to cook includes this ingredient. “Christmas Wreath” is a simple and very tasty recipe for puff salad. It is perfect for the New Year or Christmas table.

  • Chicken fillet 300 gr.
  • Potatoes 3 pcs.
  • Carrot 1 pc.

  • Garlic 1 clove.
  • Mayonnaise to taste.

Take the chicken fillet, rinse it thoroughly with cool water, then place it in a pan with salted water, boil until tender, this will take about 20 minutes. Drain the water from the finished chicken and cool. After this, finely chop our fillet, but do not overdo it, pieces of meat should be felt.

Wash the vegetables and eggs thoroughly, and also send them to cook in a saucepan with salted water. Cook the vegetables in their skins for about 40 minutes, check for readiness with a knife. Carefully drain the water from the prepared vegetables, cool and peel.

We take the most beautiful and preferably large, wide plate, and put a glass in the center. We will lay the salad around it in layers and form our wreath.

Mix the chopped chicken with mayonnaise, pepper and salt to taste and carefully place around the glass.

Grate the carrots on a coarse grater and also mix with mayonnaise. Place on top of the chicken.

Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater, add salt and add mayonnaise. Mix everything carefully and place on top of the carrots.

Chop nuts and garlic. We also grate the beets on a coarse grater and season with mayonnaise. Mix our beets with nuts and garlic, add salt, and place on potatoes.

Now grate the eggs on the same coarse grater, add salt and mix with mayonnaise again. Carefully form the final layer of our salad.

Let's start creating a real Christmas wreath! Carefully remove the glass from the center of the wreath, form “fir branches” from dill sprigs, use a sharp knife to cut out stars from the cheese and pepper plates and place them on top of the dill sprigs, create “snow” from finely grated egg whites and sprinkle corn on top. To soak the salad, put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Bon appetit!

Recipe 5: Christmas salad with boiled pork and cucumber

I offer a recipe for making the “Advent Wreath” salad or it is also called “New Year’s Wreath”. It is perfect for both New Year's and Christmas tables. It’s not at all difficult to prepare; even a novice housewife can handle it. The ingredients are quite accessible. So, let's start cooking.

  • chicken eggs 3 pieces
  • boiled pork 200 grams
  • canned peas 0.5 cans
  • fresh cucumber 2 pieces
  • dill 1 bunch
  • mayonnaise 80 grams
  • sweet pepper 2 pieces
  • salt to taste
  • viburnum berries 10 pieces
  • carrot 15 grams

Well, let's start by preparing all the ingredients. You can use homemade boiled pork or buy it at the market or supermarket. Using a sharp knife, cut the meat into small pieces. Pour from the board into a suitable container in which we will combine all the products.

Chicken eggs need to be boiled for the salad. To do this, carefully drop the eggs into boiling salted water with a spoon. Cook from the moment of boiling for 10 minutes. Cool in cold running water. We clear the shell. Cut into small cubes or whatever is convenient for you. Add to salad plate.

Cucumbers should be fresh and crispy, never soft. Wash and dry, cut off the tails on both sides. Cut into small pieces. Add to other products.

Peas can be used frozen, which must first be boiled. I used canned. Add to salad mixture. Season with salt and mayonnaise. Mix well.

Place the salad on a flat dish and form a wreath.

Wash the dill sprigs and dry them well so that they are fluffy. We put it on our wreath.

We use small red and green bell peppers. Wash and dry. Remove seeds and cut in half. For softness, microwave at 800 power for 2-3 minutes. Cut the red pepper into thin strips and decorate the wreath, cut out circles from the green pepper and place on the salad. We also cut out circles from peeled and washed carrots and place them on the salad in a chaotic manner. Decorate with viburnum berries. Christmas wreath salad is ready. Now we have an idea for the New Year and Christmas table. Cook with pleasure and bon appetit!

Recipe 6: beautiful salad Christmas candles (with photo)

On New Year's holidays, our eyes widen from the abundance of delicious and beautiful salads. You can prepare a salad with canned fish and decorate it with cheese candles. The Christmas Candles salad is easy to prepare and looks very festive on the table!

  • 3 boiled potatoes;
  • 3 boiled eggs;
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 red bell pepper;
  • 2 fresh tomatoes;
  • 1 can of sardines in oil;
  • salt, mayonnaise - to taste;
  • 3 plates of processed cheese;
  • 1 bunch of dill for decoration;
  • pomegranate seeds for decoration.

Lightly grease the cheese slices with mayonnaise, sprinkle with eggs and roll them into tubes - these will be candles.

Sprinkle the salad with grated eggs, place the prepared cheese candles in a row, and insert a pepper fire into the center of each candle. Cover the top of the salad with small sprigs of dill and sprinkle with pomegranate seeds. A bright, tasty salad “Christmas Candles” can be served.

Recipe 7: Advent wreath - salad for the holiday

  • Chicken breast (boiled) – 400 gr.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Boiled eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Cream cheese (soft varieties, I mainly use “Dutch”) – 100 gr.
  • Mayonnaise
  • Parsley, dill, boiled carrots, bell pepper (red) and pitted olives - for decoration

I finely chop the peeled onion.

I fry it in a heated frying pan in a small amount of vegetable oil.

I cut the boiled chicken breast into small cubes.

After a couple of minutes, I add it to the onion.

Fry the meat and onions for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Then I put it on a flat plate. I'm cooling it down. This will be the main, first layer of salad.

I prepare the base for the salad - to give the salad an even shape, I take a glass jar, wash it thoroughly, fill it with cereal for stability, and place it evenly in the middle of the dish on which I will serve the salad.

I spread the salad in layers, carefully distributing it around the jar, giving them the shape of an even circle. The first layer is chicken meat fried with onions.

I cover the layer with mayonnaise, which I spread well over the meat with a spoon.

The next layer is coarsely grated eggs.

I cover everything with mayonnaise again and distribute it.

Then grate cheese on a coarse grater.

Mayonnaise on top.

Then, carefully, so as not to damage the shape of the salad, I take out the jar and, if necessary, level it to form an even circle with a center, in the form of a wreath.

Then I move on to the main task – decorating the salad. I thoroughly wash the parsley and dill under running water, tear off the leaves of the parsley and cover the top, outer and inner sides of the salad with them in a thick layer. I finely chop the dill and fill the light “gaps” with it. I cut the boiled carrots into thin strips using a vegetable cutter, arrange them in the form of a bright ribbon decorating a Christmas wreath, and apply a pattern to it using mayonnaise. I make small diamond shapes out of red peppers and place them on top of the greens. Next is the turn of olives, they complete the composition.

That's all, the delicious and originally decorated salad is ready! You can proudly decorate your holiday table with it. Bon appetit!
