Natural selection or why I'm being rejected. Does natural selection affect humans? What is the result of natural selection

Is Darwinian selection theory applicable to historical evolution ?, Alexander Maysuryan asks. Of course, not in the fascist form in which modern liberals drag it through - "correct genes", "genes of slavery" and other Nazi-elite dregs. In history, selection takes place not at the level of biological genes, but at the level of class and social models of behavior. And they are not at all necessarily inherited by offspring and even persist throughout life - a person, unlike an animal, can move from one class to another, although this is not easy for him, and most often he dies as part of the same class in which he was born ...

But with these obvious amendments - is it applicable?
The author of these lines has been arguing for probably two decades already, both in print and in other ways, including the Internet, that yes, of course, it is applicable. True, I was always somewhat embarrassed by the fact that the classics of Marxism, with all their ardent sympathy for the Darwinian theory of evolution and with all the closeness of this simple (and even, in my opinion, obvious) thought to Marxism, never seemed to express it.
But it turns out that it was not they who did not express it, but I was simply not familiar enough with their legacy. Relatively recently, I read in L.D. Trotsky's journalism, back in 1909, such considerations that in this sense made me very happy:

"The theory of natural selection teaches that the fittest wins in the struggle. This does not mean that neither the best, nor the strongest, nor the most perfect — only the fittest.
Here is a line of beggars on the church porch. Among them is an armless blind man, with twisted eyelids, with festering bare feet: a pitiful, disgusting remnant of man. But the merchants and officials pass by indifferently past other beggars, and the ugly cripple is served a copper penny. His crippling and ugliness is his advantage. And in the struggle for existence that is being waged on the church porch, he wins with the weapon of his weakness.
Of the two hungry unemployed girls - all other things being equal - it is easier and more likely to embark on the path of prostitution, the one who has a weaker sense of personality and consciousness of human dignity. And the other one might drink carbolic acid at the servant's office. The fitter will survive. Her individual weakness, her spiritual Minder-werthigkeit (inferiority) will turn into a social advantage for her.
In modern society, the struggle for existence takes the form of competition. Bourgeois civil law creates an environment of unlimited competition in the economic sphere; democracy - in the political sphere. On seven sieves, democracy sifts and sorts human material in order to put the elements it needs in the right place. It is naive to think that democracy selects the most "enlightened" or the most "virtuous". This work is carried out by examination boards or by those high juries that award the Montion Prizes. Democracy selects those it needs, those that are able to shout the loudest, noisiest, expressively about its needs. "

The main purpose of a person is, with the help of our Imagination, the further expansion of the Universe, conducting into it the corresponding vibrations or energy that we have accumulated.

The purpose is the same for every soul and it is different. The difference is in exactly how Imagination is realized in the world: someone draws, someone designs, someone builds, sings, prepares food, teaches children, cares for animals, etc. The main goal of a person is to be needed by people! The meaning of life for each of us is to turn our whole life, every moment of it into a kind of creative act! Indeed, in each of us there is a part of the Creator himself, therefore, we are essentially co-creators, and not God's servants.

You need to fill your every day with Imagination - whether it is cleaning the house, washing dishes, peeling potatoes, traveling in transport, talking with others, etc., through all this you can multiply and expand the Divine essence. The main thing is to create everything with your soul and in any business you have to go from creation, not from destruction!

Any human action must be spiritualized, that is, it must be based on spiritual and moral principles, and not evil! The biggest goal of life is to live every moment not automatically, half asleep, but with Imagination, with love for what you are doing!

Thus, we will begin to repay our debt to the world. After all, how much they have taken from life, the same amount must be returned in the form of physical or intellectual labor, otherwise our behavior will undergo correction through various diseases, troubles and misfortunes.

Any event that happens to us is a sign! Therefore, you always need to stop and try to comprehend what is happening to us, because there are no accidents in life.

The main test of our inappropriate behavior or actions is the observed inhibition in the implementation of our goals and plans. At this time, Nature itself, as it were, gives us a pause to comprehend that we are going in the wrong direction and doing the wrong thing!

It is required to understand and realize the possible reasons for their failures. If this continues further, then the natural principles of the natural selection of biological species are turned on, and, due to various circumstances, a person finds himself on the side of the road of life, ending with a despondent homeless person, a drunkard, a drug addict, a chronic loser and suicide!

A person in his life goes through three stages of his development:

Animal stage;

The stage of an intelligent animal, when in his life he is guided by natural instincts;

And the stage of a person proper, when he consciously continues his development.

A person who is not motivated to develop is subject to slow extinction! He becomes unable to fulfill his mission on Earth, and therefore leaves as unnecessary.

The change in value orientation after the collapse of the USSR led to the fact that money began to play a dominant role in people's lives, and not spiritual and moral principles, which are the basis for the development of all human civilization on Earth. Today we do not have a single law that defines the principles of spiritual and moral development of man and society. All laws are aimed only at satisfying the needs of the body and there is not a single law concerning the human soul. And this cannot form in our youth the proper respect for their parents and elderly people. There is a good folk wisdom: "He who does not honor parents and elders, does not walk in goodness!" Since young people cannot imagine themselves in old age, they automatically program themselves for a short-term life, therefore they do not live to old age, but die young. There is something to think about here!

Today the majority of our population lives only by the instincts of self-preservation, being stuck in their development at the stage of a "rational animal", not reaching the actual human. So what do we want from each other - what feelings, what justice, what love and what human relationships? After all, under capitalism "Man is a wolf to man!" We were taught this in the Soviet school!

A person must have a long-term goal in life, broken down into stages, striving to achieve which he must fully realize himself and be in demand by people. Since the goal is energetically consolidated "from above", a person is given certain strengths and opportunities for its subsequent realization. For a successful step-by-step implementation of the goal, a person determines what he lacks for this: what kind of knowledge, abilities, skills, professionalism, etc., trying to acquire and master all this. The Universe will always help him in this, it is only necessary that a person's thoughts are pure.

Currently, the country, and the world as a whole, has an unfavorable economic situation. People lose their minds, work, begin to behave inappropriately, the space is saturated with human aggression, manifested in various forms. The formation of a resonance of social evil due to the social disorder of people is observed. People who, due to various circumstances, are thrown out to the margins of society today are ready-made material for protest actions.

To survive in such conditions, one must try to develop volitional qualities in oneself, the ability to flexibly adapt to a rapidly changing environment, and this, sitting at a computer, cannot be learned. It is necessary to gain life experience, as well as the practice of real, not virtual communication with people, not to shy away from any work, but to consider all this as a kind of training for one's endurance and gaining experience. You need to treat any work with a soul, develop your personal and business qualities, otherwise you will fall under the millstones of natural selection. We must learn to structure ourselves from the inside and accustom ourselves to order in everything! After all, "God helps those who strive for order!" - this is how popular wisdom says.

It is high time to understand that no one but ourselves will solve our problems for us! If you don't have your own brains, then you can't add strangers! Such people simply do not have an inner core, and over time, if they do not work on themselves, they will fall under natural culling.

And it is good if such people have their own corner and those who can support them in old age? Otherwise, there is only one road - to where souls rest.

Don't be lazy today! Just think now - what will you live on in old age? Pull yourself together and go! Acquire new specialties, take care of your health, because nobody needs you in our hospitals! Seek and you will find! And it will be rewarded to each according to his deeds - so, it seems, is written in the Gospel.

The synthesis of physiological, genetic and population aspects of research has led to a renewal of the methodological basis of anthropology, to the rejection of many concepts and traditional views, to new fundamental generalizations, for example, to a change in views on the role of natural selection in human society. This problem went through many stages in its solution, was discussed with extreme acuteness, attracting the attention of people far from science. The exceptional progressiveness of Charles Darwin's main work on the origin of man was that he showed the limited role of natural selection in human society and believed that sexual selection played the main role here.

Charles Darwin's work favorably differed from the previously published books by T. Huxley and K. Vogt, in which the animal origin of man was defended on the basis of Darwinism, but the specificity of the processes of anthropogenesis was not revealed. However, Charles Darwin's cautious approach was not taken up by his followers, primarily E. Haeckel, who believed in the infallibility and universality of Darwin's teaching, but did not take into account the restrictions imposed on a person by society. In reports, articles, books, he considered the origin of many purely human institutions through the prism of the laws established by Charles Darwin, and primarily through the prism of natural selection. Innocent in the creation of concepts that absolutize the role of natural selection in human society. Haeckel, however, gave birth to a whole galaxy of followers who created and promoted social Darwinism.

Passion for social Darwinism could have been suspended if the work of F. Engels "Dialectics of Nature", in particular the article "The Role of Labor in the Process of the Transformation of a Monkey into a Man", written in 1873-1876, were immediately published. The labor theory of anthropogenesis set out in this chapter was precisely based on the limitation of biological and emphasis on social laws in human evolution, primarily labor activity. Natural selection was placed in a subordinate place both in the process of anthropogenesis and in human society in general.

Unfortunately, Engels's work was published 50 years after it was written and therefore could not influence the followers of social Darwinism. This doctrine frightened off many with an openly chauvinistic, antihumanist orientation, but to one degree or another it was shared by almost all major anthropologists in the late 19th - early 20th centuries. It seemed natural that man - a product of the animal world - obeys all the laws prevailing in this world. True, man gave birth to a culture that animals do not have, culture seems to develop according to its own laws that have nothing to do with natural selection, but such reservations were half-hearted and did not seriously change anything.

The vulgar social-Darwinian approach did not satisfy scientists, and against its background a concept was formed, according to which the role of natural selection should be limited only by its effect on the physical characteristics of a person. Since man is basically an animal, his morphology and physiology are determined by natural-historical laws, of which selection is the most important. This concept is scientifically rigorous and consistent and has nothing to do with social Darwinism. It is now shared by all, or almost all, progressive American and Western European scholars. Naturally, the recognition of the action of selection automatically predetermines the answer to the question about the present and future evolution of man: yes, it is going now, it will continue in the future, and the modern species of man will give way to another, more progressive species that will be formed on its basis.

In Soviet anthropological literature, it is noted that many social factors soften the effect of natural selection. On this basis, a concept was formulated according to which selection acts in a weakened form in human society and has lost its formative role. Man, having gone through macroevolution, the formation of a new species, entered the period of microevolution, when changes of a cardinal nature are manifested only at the level of populations. Unfortunately, this concept, shared by many Soviet anthropologists and philosophers, is vulgarized in separate philosophical articles, in which, with direct neglect of facts, natural selection in human society was generally denied.

Physiological and genetic observations made it possible to make significant additions to this concept: the selection processes taking place in human society were revealed, and their intensity was shown using specific examples. The processes proceed according to the blood groups of the ABO system, the carriers of which are resistant or, conversely, prone to various diseases - infectious (plague, smallpox), stomach and duodenal cancer. It is possible that other blood types also reflect resistance to various diseases. The presence of abnormal hemoglobins in the tropical zone, in particular the so-called hemoglobin S, leads, in homozygous form, to severe anemia with death in early childhood. In such a situation, the gene for abnormal hemoglobin should quickly disappear, but it is maintained at a fairly high level in its concentration due to the fact that the heterozygote, apparently, is more resistant to widespread malaria in tropical regions than the carrier of normal hemoglobin

This testifies to the activity of selection processes in human society, to the fact that selection in many cases is no less intense than in the animal kingdom. However, selection in man acts in a different form. Man is practically the only one of the cosmopolitan species that inhabit the entire planet. The natural diversity of the environment of his life is complemented by an artificial one - the complexity of the social environment that society creates. Under these conditions, the main direction of natural selection, in which its action is carried out in relation to all types of plants and animals, breaks down into several directions. This means that some morphophysiological feature, useful in some cases, becomes indifferent or even harmful in others. Selection appears in a person not in the form of a catalyst for development, but in the form of a crusher. The stabilizing form of selection, established by II Shmalgauzen, is replaced by a scattering one. Intensive selection in human society ensures and strengthens the biological unity of the human species, not achieved in the course of previous evolution, but its diversity. And since the environment of human life is extremely unstable, mobile, and the direction of action of selection is rapidly changing, it does not stimulate a single evolutionary development of man, does not lead to species restructuring and, consequently, to macroevolution.

The role of biological adaptation in humans is also great. In the study of this problem, modern anthropology is closely linked with medical geography. Adaptive adaptations are manifested to many elements of the environment: to the elements of dead nature, to the geographic envelope in the narrow sense of the word, and to the biosphere. Climatic and natural zoning is reflected in variations in body size and proportions, pigmentation, and nose width. In the tropical zone, populations are concentrated with such features as dark pigmentation, a wide nose, dolichomorphic (elongated) body proportions, in the temperate and cold zones - with the opposite. When comparing the anthropological characteristics of the Eskimos and the Fuegians, an attempt was made to prove the existence of bipolar races, such local racial combinations that are similar and formed under the influence of adaptation to the same conditions of one belt in the northern and southern hemispheres.

The adaptive connections of mankind with the biosphere can be divided into two channels - a direct influence on a person and at the same time a partial transmission through it of the influence of an inert nature. The last channel is called the transmission function of the biosphere. The direct form-forming influence of the biosphere on the human body is seen in many physiological adaptations, in different immunological resistance of racial types, in the formation of many of their morphological properties, at least partially as a result of adaptation to the dietary regime. The transmission function of the biosphere is most clearly revealed in the transmission through the biotic factor of a deficiency or excess of microelements, as well as in their concentration within normal limits. The mineral saturation of the skeleton is determined by X-ray photometry and is closely related to the corresponding concentrations of micro- and macroelements in the natural environment. Through the biotic food factor, these concentrations are reflected in the formation, influencing the growth and size of the head.

These connections demonstrate the dependence of the human body on the environment of its life, the complexity and variety of adaptive adaptations to it, the role of these adaptations in the race formation and differentiation of populations. The assimilation of the ecumene by man and its resettlement were not a painless process, they were accompanied by a painful restructuring of the body in contact with new, unaccustomed conditions.

Medical geography, which, together with anthropology, predicts the prospects of settling new and poorly developed areas, is based on the past experience of biological adaptation of mankind, prevents too much damage that could be caused to the human body by unfamiliar environmental conditions.

On this day:

  • 0079 Vesuvius eruptions destroyed Roman cities Pompeii and Herculaneum.
  • Days of death
  • 1942 Killed Mikhail Vasilievich Talitsky, Soviet archaeologist, discoverer of the M.V. Talitsky site.
  • 1978 Died Kathleen Kenyon, English specialist in biblical archeology, researcher of Jericho.
  • 1993 Died Vasily Filippovich Kakhovsky- Soviet and Russian historian and archaeologist, researcher of Chuvashia.

Unfortunately, the Marxist thesis about man as a higher phase of the development of living beings is bursting at the seams. 96% of human bodies are similar to the bodies of animals. We are just one of the species of the animal world. The only thing that sets us apart from other animals is our ability to think and plan. Humans are animals whose impulses have been honed over millions of years of evolution. We inherited from animals such mechanisms as fear, sending and receiving auditory and visual signals, memory and herd instinct.

In the prehistoric period, the human population lived according to general laws: the strong multiplied and prospered, the weak lived in poverty and died out. However, the rate of evolution was not very high - in new generations the weak appeared more than the strong, and the processes of degeneration of the species were balanced by its improvement. In unfavorable years, the population was cleared of the weak to a greater extent than in good years, and this gave an impetus towards adaptation to the new changed conditions.

Men like to "flock". Man, a highly evolved predator, created the ancient equivalent of a football team to defeat a large beast. In the flocks, the men were doing men's work, throwing spears at the next dinner. Women, who were always pregnant, did women's work, looked after children, set up housing, and picked fruit. Modern men huddle in pubs and clubs. With the emergence of ancient civilizations, society and the state arose, with them - wars and conflicts for territories, for wealth and a place in the sun. Humanity is at a stage of development characterized by intraspecific competition. Ancient civilizations have not survived - they were destroyed by the colonialists.

A person, in order to survive, is forced to master new ecological niches - the first step. The second stage is a complete exit from the old ecological niche, but not yet full development of the new one. The adaptation process has not yet been completed, although it has been successful. At the third stage - complete mastery of a new ecological niche, development in a new environment is brought to perfection. For example, dinosaurs on Earth. Sooner or later, the ecological niche overflows, it becomes crowded. The individual either changes its habitat or acquires new qualities.

According to Charles Darwin, it turned out that in the process of evolution more complex and more adapted to life forms arose.

There is a point of view that the main function of any form of life is the continuation of the life of a given form. Then the most viable forms are viruses. They feel good in cold and heat, go without food for a long time and reproduce at an incredible rate.

It's easier with bacteria. With a strong desire, they can be destroyed, protection from the outside world is not so perfect.

The fish carries several million eggs in its belly, goes without food for six months, suspended animation. Warm-blooded children are born a million times less, the blood does not cool down with the environment, with the onset of cold, warm-blooded ones should eat more.

In the plant world, the older the genus, the more viable it is.

Primitive man took a stick in his hands. This is not a giant leap forward, but the first crutch. All the benefits of civilization that have appeared are just more modern varieties of this crutch. Waving crutches, humanity is rapidly and systematically destroying all living things around and, accordingly, itself, that is, the history of the development of life on Earth is nearing its natural end. Without crutches, a person is extremely weak, thermophilic, selective in food, constantly ill and breeding with great difficulty.

Conclusion: if each species following in the chain of development is more complex, but less viable than the previous one, then the whole evolution is a chain programmed not for development, but for the curtailment of life on Earth.

Let's try to analyze the participation of humanity in natural selection in more detail.

The table shows that humanity is protected mainly artificially. Technological progress makes it possible to successfully cope with natural adverse factors. Advances in medicine make it possible for people to live long, but burdened with all kinds of diseases.

The man brought out the defenses. House, clothes, shoes - protection from temperature extremes. Food stocks have been created. Antibiotics and chemotherapy drugs work instead of immunity. Vaccinations, epidemiological surveillance, quarantine measures protect against diseases on the scale of large human groups.

The ancestors of modern women did not know the problem of menstrual tension. Previously, a woman was continuously in a state of pregnancy and menstrual tension occurred 10-20 times in her entire life, while in a modern woman - 12 times a year.

In the 19th century, families had about a dozen children, as more children died from diseases in infancy. Today, thanks to the achievements of medicine, it is possible to save the life of one child in the family. The more civilized the way of life, the lower the birth rate.

The development of contraceptives allows birth control. This remarkable achievement also had negative consequences. The possibility of sex without pregnancy contributed to the decline in morals. Sexual freedom has led to an increase in urogenital infections, which subsequently often leads to infertility. In poor countries where child mortality is high, many are still born. This is a natural regulation of the number. In civilized countries, there are usually 1-2 children in a family. Artificial birth control is added to natural regulation (low mortality with a high population density).

Viability is associated with the potential threat of death. Comparison of weeds with cultivated plants can serve as a model. Weeds are incredibly tenacious. They are constantly under threat of destruction and have developed a variety of methods of reproduction: rhizomes, high fertility. Weeds grow even in cracked asphalt. Cultivated plants are easily displaced by weeds.

Biologically, people are like cultivated plants. Let's continue this parallel with plants. With a long cultivation of berry crops in one place, the plantation is overcome by pests, then bacterial and viral diseases follow. Viruses are a witness to the old age of the plantation, its degeneration. Agronomists have long come up with crop rotation. Viral diseases appear to be a signal of the degeneration of the human population. In gentle conditions, it is difficult to form stable structures. B. Gracian pointed to a certain sixth sense: “it finds tricks, invents ways, gives advice, teaches to speak, makes you run, even fly and guess the future; his name is Need. " From the lack of earthly goods, intelligence is added. It is interesting that among the centenarians there are many people who survived the Stalinist camps. Vitality is something that is given initially at birth and that we cannot change. It is necessary to organize such a strategy for the behavior of the system so that elements with the maximum possible vitality are born in it.

Humanity has tried to improve resilience through selection (artificial selection). Examples of the application of such a strategy in antiquity are Sparta. Today there are university campuses for the training of scientists. However, attempts to apply a genetic approach, for example by Hitler, usually failed. Totalitarian regimes tried to improve the human race through the destruction of inferior, in their opinion, peoples. Geneticist N.K. Koltsov wrote that since all kinds of human qualities are inherited with a high degree of probability, then theoretically humanity is able to improve itself consciously, using knowledge about its own heredity and select producers according to the desired qualities. The further fate of the Earth is unknown to us, therefore the complete genetic homogeneity of people is unprofitable. It is more correct to preserve diversity, thanks to which, in case of unforeseen changes, say, with the appearance of new harmful microbes, some people could survive.

It is possible that, in part due to selection, blood group B has a strong innate immunity. The ancestors of B-people descended from the inhabitants of Tibet. Lobsang Rampa, a writer who dedicated his writings to Tibetan monks, mentioned this procedure. Each newborn was immersed in an icy stream, and whoever survived continued to live.

Natural selection has its own levers, corresponding to human psychotypes and blood groups. In people with strong natural strong immunity (0 and B-blood groups), death in battle or from accidents prevails. They are characterized by leadership, aggressiveness and sexuality. These people love risk. American researchers have identified a gene that regulates adrenaline addiction in brain cells. This D4 DR gene provokes a person to take risks, search for thrills, say, in extreme sports. In such people, this gene has an oblong shape, in ordinary people it is strictly square.

For calmer and more tolerant representatives of blood groups A and AB, death from senile diseases (heart attack, stroke, cancer, diabetes) is characteristic. People of blood groups A and AB have initially low (tolerant) immunity. Blood group A stood out for human populations with a high population density, group AB, in general, is the newest, also for high density and its innate immunity is even lower than that of group A. balance in the population.

The journalist A. Nikonov believes that natural selection is no longer taking place in our species. Medicine works wonders and promises to do more. We have been living in an artificial environment for a long time. The weakest individuals are not eaten by predators and do not die a natural death, but leave offspring, passing on defective genes to children. In recent decades, this process has become exponential.

Natural selection in humans, probably, goes in the direction of selective participation in reproduction: the smart ones, by virtue of their convictions, are noticeably inferior to the rest, humanity becomes stupid.

The progressive increase in the proportion of the population with poor immunity is associated with the flip side of humanism: nursing weak newborns, antibiotic protection and vaccinations. For 70 years of Soviet power, anti-selection took place. The elite of society - nobles and intelligentsia, entrepreneurs (merchants), economic peasants (kulaks), healthy, energetic and talented emigrated, died in concentration camps, were exiled to the northern regions. Today, young and smart people emigrate abroad, and only drinking mothers-heroines give birth to a lot. Business women prefer late pregnancy, which increases the risk of genetic diseases. Ecology, radioactive tests and Chernobyl have significantly worsened the health of present and future generations. The unpopularity of breastfeeding strikes a blow to the formation of the baby's immune system.

At present, there are five orders of magnitude (100,000 times) more people on the planet than wild animals similar to us in size and type of food. These livestock are supported solely by technology. And the selection is not for health. Now there is a selection for the mind.

From the point of view of Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences A. Vorobyov, nature itself is waging a biological war with us: viruses mutate, adapt to new conditions. Microbiologists discover up to 30 new infections every 10 years.

The healer L. Puchko gives an interesting esoteric hypothesis about the regulating mechanisms of the planetary scale.

For millions of years of existence, the biosphere has developed a wise sanitation and cleansing mechanism for the destruction of the entire patient who has not adapted to constantly changing and renewing living conditions (not adapted). To do this, she has stored in her arsenal a lot of microorganisms that destroy everything that has become obsolete from the point of view of nature.

Humanity is an integral part of the planetary organism. As in any living organism, in such a collective formation, in order to maintain its existence, there are special systems and mechanisms that carry out self-government, self-regulation, self-purification and other general body functions. If some part creates a threat to the existence of the entire organism, the corresponding mechanisms of protection of the integrity of the organism (social and natural) are activated. The destruction and deformation of thin bodies is a trigger signal. The first to fall under the pressure of this elimination mechanism are people with damaged subtle bodies to a certain extent. The triggering threshold for this mechanism is individual for each organism.

The destruction of thin bodies due to the introduction of alien vibrations is accompanied by the emission of a special signal. According to this signal, energy structures from outer space are introduced into the destroyed subtle bodies, which begin to actively support the entire pathogenic microflora in the human body. The constant existence of hidden foci of dormant or sluggish infections, supported by the governing energy structures, leads to the creation of immunodeficiency in the body and the formation of persistent chronic diseases.

Infections are a universal remedy for cleaning living space in the biological, social, computer world. Infections are independent and self-directed, universal and not accidental.

Let's try to change the scale and look at the situation from above, as suggested

S. Rastorguev.

The human body is an element of the system. If the organism, as an element of the system, interferes with the system, then the system will destroy it, eliminating the "potential difference" in the space-time point, using the entire apparatus of infections for this; whether biological (cholera, plague, etc.), whether social (killers, thieves, etc.), environmental (earthquake, volcanic eruption, etc.). The Earth's "patience" is starting to run out. Evidence of this is the increasing frequency of catastrophes and natural disasters. A number of scientists believe that humanity is by no means the first civilization on Earth, the three previous ones perished. We are the cells of a single organism called humanity, humanity, in turn, is part of a single system - the Universe. All the commandments of world religions are an encrypted concept of the structure of the world and our relationship with it.

Earlier, terrible diseases served as tools of natural selection: smallpox, anthrax, plague, tularemia and hemorrhagic fevers, measles. With the help of vaccination and anti-epidemic measures, they were "put in a cage."

The flu was and remains a factor of natural selection: it mows old and small. In the event of a pandemic, with the appearance of a new combination of surface proteins of hemagglutinin and neuraminidase with the inclusion of viral genes of avian or animal origin, mortality can reach 70% of the population. The insidiousness of this infection is that if it does not kill immediately, it will do so in a few weeks. Old people die from heart complications and exacerbations of chronic diseases. Children usually die from pneumonia.

No new pandemic influenza strains are expected to emerge in the near future. A lethal outcome can be caused by mixed infections: influenza + adenovirus infection, influenza + respiratory syncytial infection. A new variant of mixed infection was the simultaneous infection with influenza viruses of different subtypes.

Today AIDS has become an active factor in natural selection. In my opinion, an inert, sluggish immune system begins to evolve when there is a real threat of extinction. So, blood group A stood out from group 0 during the extinction from smallpox, cholera, plague. AIDS kills everyone indiscriminately. There are facts that indicate the possibility of a beneficial mutation in the blood group. Kenyan prostitutes, HIV-infected for more than 15 years do not get AIDS (non-sterile immunity). According to the Institute of Gene Biology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, there is normally a segment in the genome of each person that is responsible for the body's susceptibility to the immunodeficiency virus. There are people with a mutation of resistance to this virus: there is no susceptibility segment in the DNA of these people. Most people with a beneficial mutation live in the Baltics. Russia is one of the European countries that make up the area of resistance to AIDS. Among Russians, 1% of the population is not exposed to HIV infection. Much more often these people are found in the western regions, in the east and northeast there are no people protected from AIDS.

The question of why death is needed at all is especially discussed in the literature.

Cyberneticist Rastorguev believes that any self-learning information system has a chance of immortality. But nature has put a self-destruction mechanism into any complex system. Who turns on the aging mechanism? When is the body forced to resort to a method of protection through self-change? But sometimes he prefers to choose a "wooden suit" as opposed to new knowledge. The system exhausts its capabilities for collecting, processing, storing information and is replaced by another - that's the whole explanation for aging.

The usefulness of death led to the emergence of sexes.

A. and B. Pisa hypothesize the origin of sex. As soon as a new cell with stronger genes appeared, the parental cells had to die. For two reasons: first, the new cell is better than the parent's and the parent's cell is no longer needed. Second, the parents must be eliminated so that they do not mate with the new cage.

At the end of the 19th century, Weismann expressed his understanding of the causes of death. Death was invented by evolution in order to discard unnecessary individuals, so that generations change faster, so that the population does not become littered with monsters (the older the organism, the more likely it is to give birth to ugly offspring).

If Weismann's point of view is correct, then the diseases of aging were specially invented by evolution. The cell has a suicide mechanism - apoptosis. Mitochondria also have their own separate mechanism for suicide. Cancer is a specially programmed disease to cleanse the population, acting in different ways, and as soon as we block one path, the other is immediately activated. This killing mechanism was ingeniously made by evolution - if the hypothesis is correct. The three main diseases of aging are cancer, heart attack and stroke. Cancer - when the "samurai law" (suicide) is not applied inside the cell, and heart attack and stroke are an absurd application of this law: if the heart is bad, then it must be stopped (mass tissue death occurs). In half of cancers, the blocking protein p53, the guardian of the genome, is broken. With heart attacks, strokes and septic shock, suicide immediately involves a huge number of cells in a vital organ. It turns out that p53 is very good for its anti-cancer effect, on the other hand, it is partly because of it that we die from heart attacks and strokes. Cancer, heart attack, stroke are senile diseases. Aging is an evolutionary mechanism. The rejuvenation of heart attacks and strokes is the inclusion of evolutionary mechanisms for cleaning living space in conditions of overpopulation. Nowadays, death from old age without disease is a rarity. The mechanisms of natural selection for eliminating the elderly are atherosclerosis, cancer and osteoporosis. Ca metabolism has a complex hormonal regulation with the participation of sex hormones. After the extinction of the reproductive function, bones rapidly lose strength. A hip fracture in the elderly has a poor prognosis.

What is natural selection? The process by which offspring are reproduced by the individuals most adapted to the environment. Adaptation to the environment can also be understood as adaptation to intraspecific competition, including for the possession of sexual partners. That is, a strong and healthy individual is more likely to pass on its genes to future generations than a weak and sick one.

It is important here that these traits are uniquely determined by genes. The principle of natural selection is based on this - external attractiveness (strength, fitness) also testifies to the quality of the genetic material. It cannot be otherwise in the animal world.

Man is another matter. He, unlike other living beings on our planet, managed to create his own habitat, changing the existing one for himself. This, of course, does not mean that the question of the need to adapt to this environment of each individual individual has disappeared. Simply by creating the environment, man has created his own criteria of fitness, which are different from natural ones. More precisely, there is only one - money.

Indeed, let us consider such concepts as "adaptability to the environment", "adaptability to intraspecific competition", "sexual attractiveness" in relation to a modern person.

The effect of the environment on humans in civilized countries is minimized every year. Of course, a complete absence of influence has not yet been achieved, but this influence (natural disasters, outbreaks of epidemics of intractable diseases, etc.) is of an episodic nature, and cannot be considered as a factor that can radically affect our species. To bear some fruit, the factor must appear to act constantly, over a long period of time, which is currently not observed.

Now with regard to intraspecific competition. The use of physical force and aggression is as limited as possible by moral and legal norms, so physical strength does not at all indicate an advantage over other people. And what testifies? You don't need to look for the answer for a long time - of course, money.

At first glance, it might seem that money does not guarantee sex appeal. True, but human sex appeal is of little consequence to natural selection. It is not the desire to have sex that matters, but the desire to have children, to pass on genes further. And in order to raise a child, no doubt, you need money, therefore, it is their presence that increases the likelihood of passing on your genes further.

And this is where the main difference between animal and human selection is manifested. In animals, as mentioned above, strength and attractiveness are determined by genes and only by them. This means that more "quality" genes will be passed on. In the human world, the possession of money has nothing to do with the genes of an individual. Moreover, money can be obtained in many ways: intellectual labor, strength, beauty, some kind of special talent necessary for society, etc. Thus, money does not express anything. But at the same time, they are the main criterion for the transfer of their genes further.

What then natural selection among people can we talk about? Its supporters often compare modern man with the remains of ancient people or talk about acquired resistance to various diseases. But this is all the influence of the external environment, which is becoming less and less significant and can no longer affect our species. And intraspecific competition and sexual selection already have some definite direction, because their criteria are in no way connected with human genes. If a species more adapted for life on Earth appears, it certainly will not be the result of natural selection.

The main selection criterion in human society is intelligence, money can play as a factor that determines the advantages of an individual in certain conditions, but it can also play the role of an eliminating factor. In a period of stability, yes, money implies a number of advantages, for descendants, only theoretically, you cannot excuse yourself from prison and money ... Money is an energy that can pull up and down, and even ruin it altogether .. ...

Sometimes revolutions and coups occur in society, and then traditionally the richest part of the population suffers, remember after the 1917 revolution how the expropriation was carried out?
The same was the case after the French Revolution. After the change of power, there is often a reason to ruin a particularly wealthy part of the population.
thus the monetary part of the population runs the risk of being destroyed along with the descendants and genes (eliminated) by both the holding and the criminal part of the population.

However, this does not run counter to what I have written. Of course, the possession of money does not solve all problems, and cannot guarantee a cloudless life, but it is money that is now the main criterion of competitiveness. Not perfect. But the closest to this of the existing ones.

The main selection criterion in human society is intelligence
Intelligence itself is useless, just as useless (roughly speaking) a screwdriver without screws. For example, a tiger can provide itself with everything necessary with just one force, directly. And in order for a person to provide himself with intellect, one cannot do without an intermediary, and this intermediary is money. And money is earned not only by intellectual labor.

Yes, you are certainly right, I just wanted to add that money is an absolute advantage in the selection process, but not an absolute one in the transfer of this advantage to descendants. How many generations of people can benefit from wealth - money? money can contribute to the transfer of genes, but descendants do not always have money and, accordingly, the same advantages, by the way, money without intelligence is not a big advantage.
As for the strength of a tiger, if it is due to dominant genes, then it is inherited and passed on to their descendants by at least 50% of the descendants of the tiger, or even 100%.
Money probably plays the role of a selection factor in society, such as the amount of game for a tiger, little game - little strength ...
Of course, I pretty much forgiven many points :))

And the advantage should not be absolute. It is enough to be overwhelming.

Money without intelligence? Slippery concept. Do you know many people "without intelligence"? Intelligence is so multidimensional that one cannot say: "here he is with intelligence, but he is not." In any case, I have not heard clear criteria.

And the point is that there is no natural selection now. The main criterion of competitiveness - money - has nothing to do with genes, which means that there will be no transmission of any specific genes. Unlike the tiger with its strength.

natural selection in human society is a very deep and controversial topic, it seems to me that it exists, the question is in the selection criteria
an artificially determined selection criterion is money, this is a natural criterion for society, society is a population of people, and money is a product of society, everything is natural ...

when we talk about conscious selection, we call it "artificial",
money is a product of society, created deliberately,
they are the selection criterion
nevertheless, this selection criterion arose within the human population, and therefore is a natural process, and therefore it does not run counter to the theory of natural selection ...

but in general there are many interesting things on this topic.
